Agreed! The P1000 does have some limitations, but frankly, I didn’t expect it to be this good. From my perspective, it’s a great compromise package. If I had to recommend one thing for identifying birds and taking decent pictures, it would be the P1000… which I didn’t expect going in to this. I saw lots of article posts about birders using cameras instead of spotting scopes, but it’s hard to believe that it really works, especially at this price point! Good luck with the Olympus configuration. I may try and play more with the Fuji in the future as well. ☺
